Prompt: silent short. Story and characters by me.
An assignment for a UCLA Film & Television storyboarding class. I wanted this animatic to have a nostalgic and heartwarming mood, to convey happy memories of friendship. Since these my characters are unknown to the public, I wanted this short to show each character's unique personality. These characters are inspired by my favorite food, since food is one of the easiest ways I connect to loved ones, so I wanted these buds to bond over food too.

Prompt: adapt an existing piece of work.
An assignment for a UCLA Film & Television storyboarding class. Lan Wangji (white) and Wei Wuxian (black) are the main characters of MDZS, childhood friends with a tragic past. The original storyboard did not have any dialogue, as I thought that the longing and the bittersweet parting of intertwined souls was already sufficiently expressed in the illustrations. But I added lines of the poem in the animatic to demonstrate just how uncannily similar the relationship described in the poem encapsulates the canon story of WangXian.
Storyboard 3: Aggiemation Eggheads animated logo (2022)
Storyboard, character concepts, rough animation drawn by me
I collaborated with my fellow founding members of the Aggiemation Eggheads to conceptualize an animation for our club's static logo, which would precede all our future animation projects. I wanted to give our egg mascot a personality "bursting" with fun through this rough animation.
